Coaching with Steven

Run your own ads, with an operator in your corner.

Coaching is for business owners who want to run their own Meta and Google ads and get them right. You do the work in your own accounts; Steven reviews your setup, numbers and decisions.

How it works

Four steps, no pressure

1

Apply

Answer a few questions about your business, your ads and your goals. It takes about five minutes.

2

Talk with Steven

If it looks like a fit, you book a 30-minute call. Steven reviews where you are and explains the coaching format and investment.

3

Get your plan

You leave with a clear view of what to fix first: offer, tracking, creative, campaign structure or budget.

4

Run your own ads

You do the work in your own accounts, with Steven reviewing your setup, numbers and decisions as you go.

What you’ll be able to do

Skills you keep for good

These are the outcomes coaching is built around. They’re skills, not promises about revenue.

  • Work out a break-even cost per lead and per customer for your offer
  • Set up and test Meta and Google conversion tracking
  • Write ad copy from your customers’ own words
  • Launch a simple Meta campaign with a budget that can exit learning
  • Build a Google Search campaign with tight keywords and weekly negatives
  • Diagnose a weak campaign with the metric ladder instead of guessing
  • Run controlled tests and scale budgets in calm steps
  • Review your account in a focused 30-minute weekly routine

The method, in practice

Examples from managed campaigns

Coaching uses the same process the Spencer Digital team applies to client accounts.

PDF lead magnet · Meta
$1.58
cost per lead

219 leads from $346.60 in spend over 14 days (Oct 10–23, 2026) for a niche online-education brand.

Lead magnet ads · Meta
$0.76
cost per lead

A checklist lead-magnet ad set for the same brand produced 254 leads from $191.96 over the same 14 days.

Creative test · Meta
$62
per sale

Simple stacked-image ads for an online business-education company, versus a typical $250–$300 cost per sale in good periods.

Campaign managed by the Spencer Digital team. Not a student result. Results vary and are not guaranteed. Client names are withheld; figures are exactly as recorded in the ad accounts for the periods shown.

FAQ

Coaching questions

How much does coaching cost?

It depends on the format that fits your situation. Steven explains the options and investment on your call, and there’s no obligation to join.

Do I need to be spending on ads already?

No, but you need an offer that already sells and a monthly ad budget you can commit to. Under $500 a month makes it hard to collect enough data to learn from.

How much time does it take?

Plan on a few hours each week to implement. Coaching works because you do the work in your own accounts.

Will Steven run my ads for me?

Not in coaching. Coaching is for the stage where running your own ads makes the most sense. When your spend reaches the point where expert management pays for itself, roughly $3k–$5k+ a month, Spencer Digital, Steven’s agency, can take it over, and you’ll already know how to judge the work.

When should I move from coaching to an agency?

When you hit the spend guideline above, or when time, complexity, multiple channels or scaling start to stretch you. Steven will tell you honestly on your calls when he thinks you’ve reached that point. The figure is a guideline, not a guarantee.

Is there a guarantee?

No. We don’t promise results. We teach a sound process and give honest feedback. Results depend on your offer, market, budget and execution.

When to graduate to an agency

Run it yourself first. Hand it off when the numbers say so.

While your ad spend and revenue are small, learning to run your own ads is the smart move. You keep costs low, learn what works for your business, and become a far better judge of marketing help later.

As spend grows, expert management usually pays for itself. At $5,000 a month in ad spend, a 10% improvement in efficiency is worth about $500 a month, often more than the cost of having experts do the work. That’s the point to graduate.

The guideline

Around $3k–$5k+ a month in ad spend

A guideline, not a rule or a guarantee. Every business is different. The right moment is when expert management is likely to earn back more than it costs, which depends on your margins, goals and how much time you have.

Signs you’ve outgrown doing it yourself

Time

Ads take more than a few hours a week and pull you away from running the business.

Complexity

More offers, audiences, locations or campaigns than one person can manage well.

Multiple channels

You are running, or ready to add, Meta, Google and more at the same time.

Scaling

You have proven winners, and small gains in efficiency are now worth real money.

Hit the spend guideline, or two or more of these signs? That’s usually the moment expert management earns back more than it costs. Until then, the training and coaching here are built to get you there.

Ready to hand it off?

Once you’re spending roughly $3k–$5k+ a month on ads, or ads start taking more time than you have, expert management usually pays for itself. When that day comes, Spencer Digital, Steven’s agency, plans, launches and manages Meta and Google campaigns for growing businesses, and you’ll already know how to judge the work.
